What Is CrossFit?

Constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity. Workouts are typically short and intense, generally lasting 20 minutes or less. They are designed to increase work capacity across broad time and modal domains. They combine movements such as sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying heavy objects, and many bodyweight exercises. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, medicine balls, and boxes. These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form the prescribed “Workout of the Day” or “WOD”. The classes are an hour long and typically include a warm-up, skill development session, the WOD, and some mobility. Performance on each WOD is scored to track your progress and provide friendly competition.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. Our CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Soldiers, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

CrossFit Group Classes

Tired of the gym routine? Seismic CrossFit isn’t a gym at all. It’s not a place where you reluctantly go after work, plug in your head phones to avoid unwanted interaction and do the same old routine.

Seismic CrossFit is the place you can’t wait to go after work to unwind and release, where everyone knows your name and you feel a sense of belonging. You’re instantly part of our CrossFit family.

We offer classes at 5:30am, 9:00 am, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm on weekdays. We also offer an “Open” session on Saturday at 10:00 am, which can be used to make-up a missed class, or spend that time practicing skills used in our CrossFit classes. A coach will always be available to assist you. We also offer private training, clinics, nutrition programs and many events. We are the ONLY CrossFit affiliate in the area that caps classes so you get the attention and coaching necessary to succeed. See full class schedule here.
